Strange smell in house

I did a video previously about strange smells in house that can get clients very frustrated.

These musky smells often make people feel embarrassed about inviting friends over, as they think it smells like they haven’t kept the property clean. Whilst there is many things to eliminate, which will be in the video below, here is some from a recent job that unfortunately you can’t smell 🙂

With this one despite previous CCTV drain surveys, they just couldn’t get to the bottom of it. This has been a problem they had for about 10 years, and has literally caused them lots of distress over the years. With this one I was contacted by them as id previously worked for a friend of theirs, and she told me about it….. I was more than happy to look over this one, and start from scratch and once the survey price was agreed I went to work. With this one there strange smell in housewas plenty of stuff looked at and eliminated, but the drain smoke testing paid dividends on this job. By putting a blow up drain bung in the drain I was able to blow smoke under pressure and fill the drain, and by doing this I could prove the drain was leaking at a joint, and that was allowing sewer gas into the suspended timber floor void of the property, and was the root cause of the horrid smell.
