Diy Aco drain install? I tend to find most Aco drains are installed very poorly, and installed right next to a building can contribute to rising damp symptoms, and saturate cavity wall insulation. Aco drains are normally installed to try and divert water away from a building perhaps from paths or drives slop[e towards a building. I’ve got nothing against Aco drains, it’s just how I see them installed sometimes. Aco drains need to discharge to somewhere, especially when they have lots of surface water coming into them, and also the joints can leak just like this one……If buying a property make sure you get these inspected and see where they go to, and if you have rising damp symptoms this is certainly a place to investigate and eliminate any potential issues.

ACO drains along with other issues cause rising damp in this property.
